Sto-Rox
Sto-Rox Family Health Center is one of two sites operated by the Sto-Rox
Neighborhood Health Council, Inc. It is a comprehensive community based health
center that has provided continuous care for the McKees Rocks and Stowe
Township communities since 1971. We provide accessible and affordable
healthcare to everyone, regardless of income or insurance. Our goal is to
ensure the health of the community by providing clinical, preventive medicine,
and health education, thereby enhancing the quality of life for future
generations.
Hilltop:
Since its inception, Hilltop Community Health Center has directed our focus to
addressing the healthcare needs of the Hilltop communities of South Pittsburgh.
Our staff is committed to meeting the individual needs of each patient;
providing quality healthcare regardless of a person’s income or stage of life.
Both facilities
accept all forms of insurance, and our fee schedule operates on a sliding scale
for those uninsured. This way, all of our community members have access to
quality healthcare.
History:
Sto-Rox
Neighborhood Health Council (SRNHC) began as an outreach effort of Focus on
Renewal (FOR), a community organization founded in 1969 to address the needs of
the people in McKees Rocks and Stowe Township. Locally operated for more than
40 years, the FOR has served to provide a broad range of services that have
enhanced the quality of life for our community, including the Senior High Rise,
Family and Children Services, nutritious meals, child care services, the
Sto-Rox Community Federal Credit Union, and a Town Library and Cultural Arts
Center.
Since becoming
its own entity, SRNHC has focused on addressing the health and medical needs of
the McKees Rocks, Stowe Township, and Hilltop areas through its two locations.
We are committed to meeting the individual needs of the patient; providing
healthcare regardless of income or stage of life.
