Hamilton Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is a growing, non-profit Joint Commission Accredited community-based health organization. Hamilton provides adult and children primary medical, behavioral health, dental and vision services, women’s obstetric and gynecological services, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services, HIV testing and treatment services, as well as HIV and substance abuse prevention services for women with children, and case management services for pregnant women with children. Hamilton is also the WIC provider for Dauphin County.
Services are provided in multiple community locations throughout Dauphin and Perry County, as well as our school sites, and in a senior high-rise apartment complex. Hamilton employs more than 45 physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives and hygienists, to deliver a comprehensive array of primary medical, behavioral health, dental, and vision services to its patients. The center also assists patients to access specialty and hospital care services. The growth of Hamilton is rooted in strong community support since 1969. As a result, Hamilton became, and remains today, the only FQHC within a 25 mile radius of Harrisburg serving over 30,000 patients per year and approaching 100,000 encounters annually.
Hamilton provides a supportive work environment with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. The Leadership Team at Hamilton Health Center recognizes that the most important asset we have as an organization is our employees. Our mission is to improve the health of Central Pennsylvania’s residents by delivering high quality, respectful and patient-centered health and related social services that promote access, treatment, education, and prevention regardless of health, economic, or insurance status.
