Job Description

Position Summary:

ChesPenn Health Services FQHC is actively seeking a Public Health Dental Hygienist (PHDHP) to provide services to patients in our Center for Family Health at Eastside, located in Chester, PA.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner Certification.
  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist license with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Three years' experience in dental hygiene, preferably in a fast-paced clinical setting

What We're Looking For:

  • An independent self-starter with a desire to use their skills to educate and encourage patients regarding the importance of good dental health as well as to provide outstanding clinical care.  
  • Outstanding clinical, patient management and teamwork skills
  • A desire to provide care to an underserved population in a community health care environment. 

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services for all ages, including prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, sealants, scaling & root planning.
  • Provide preventative and therapeutic care for all ages, including soft tissue management.
  • Provide individualized oral health care education and home care instruction.
  • Coordinate with pediatric medical staff to ensure that children begin dental care by 1 year and receive all appropriate fluoride and sealant treatments
  • Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants and front desk staff
