Join friends and colleagues at this informal networking evening to explore primary care careers at the trendy “Olive or Twist” in downtown Pittsburgh. Enjoy a couple of free beverages and hors d’oeuvres while mingling with colleagues and representatives from Pittsburgh-area community health centers.
Our featured guest, Jim Withers, MD, founder of Operation Safety Net, will provide a special presentation. For 23 years, Dr. Withers has been conducting street rounds in Pittsburgh, bringing compassion and medical care under bridges and into camp sites to people experiencing homelessness.
The event is hosted by the Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center, the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, the Southwest PA Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
The event will be held at Olive or Twist’s second floor lounge, 140 6th Street. All attendees must be registered with an event pass to get in. Please register early because spots are limited.
